Born in 1984, Aalap holds a diploma in drawing and painting from C. N. Fine Arts College, Ahmedabad, and a post-diploma in printmaking from M. S. University, Baroda. He has participated in various group shows across India and is currently working in art projects with eminent artist Jatin Das in Ahmedabad. His journey as an artist is a manifestation of his apprenticeship as a printmaker and his gradual shift to the medium of paints. When juxtaposed, the prints and the paintings are two opposing creative energies.
