My Bio data - I am a self taught artist. From childhood I have been painting and sketching, being drawn to it naturally. My journey as an artist was disrupted by a flying career as an air hostess with Air India and consequently marriage and family duties. But for the last 20 years I have dedicated myself, body and soul, to my one true passion in life: Art. This is what makes me happy and this is what I believe is my true calling. Since I am self taught, if my talent wasnt God's will I would not have been able to produce even a single piece of work that I have. I am humbled by God's grace and am always grateful for that. Since I like all mediums I have worked in oil, acrylic, water colour etc. right now I am drawn to pen and ink work. I believe Art is such a huge field that one will remain a student of art all their life...The images that I am sending you is from a series called "Tree of love". Size of each painting is 7.5 inches x 11 inches. The thought behind this series comes from my belief that Trees have feelings and emotions. They are very nurturing and giving. Below its shade many lovers sit and share sweet nothings to which the tree is a silent witness. So deep in its heart, beneath the woody exterior, the tree hides lovers and their feelings or maybe its the trees own feelings,hidden from the world. The idea was to make it dark and mysterious and secretive.Thank you very much and I hope to hear from you soon.
