Rajesh Salgaonkar is an artist who prefers to work in the realm of his own fantasy, which mainly relates to the world of the sea. He says ?I love to bring out the colours and richness of the animal and plant world, and make them come to life on canvas, for which I use a special technique using turpentine.? He adds that ?I create minute details in which the more you view the painting, the more images appear on it?.?His artwork is versatile and his series of paintings is acrylics on canvas, where knife impressions in reds, blacks and yellows emerge in different forms of fish and sea life. However, pencil, charcoal and ink drawings are his forte, where he can express my creativity in intricate detail.
