Atin Basak

Atin Basak studied at the college of Art & Craft, Kolkata and completed his MFA in printmaking from Baroda. Basak's work exudes a sense of peace and calm. His masterful use of shading and texturing helps portray the characters' (influenced by sages and recluses) confidence and power. Basak's work has won numerous awards and a scholarship from the French government to work in France as a visiting artist. Besides attending several workshops in India and abroad, his work is also displayed in many museums and private collections in countries such as India, Hong Kong, France, Singapore and Germany.
